Call for Submissions / Author Development Program

When Edward Allen Publishing was founded a year ago, we purposely chose a business model that called for a paced, purposeful growth. We wanted to make sure that we could fulfill the promises we made to our authors and partners, while bringing compelling, entertaining reads to life. It’s been an exciting year, and we’re ready for more.

We are happy today to announce an open call for submissions in all genres of fiction and selected categories of non-fiction (e.g., memoirs, poetry, biography). We’re looking for great stories told in strong voices. If you think you fit the bill, please send an e-mail with information about your project and a brief synopsis (3 to 5 pages) to: submissions@edwardallenpublishing.com

If we think your manuscript has merit but isn’t yet ready for contract, it might be eligible for our new Author Development Program. Whether you need help plugging your plot holes and bracing sagging middles, or filling out a character’s development, we want to help. We’ll identify elements needed to get your book contract ready, and we’ll suggest concrete solutions, not just vague generalizations. (Please note: this is not a fee service. We’re in the business of publishing, period.)
